Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is a mental health condition that involves unwanted, intrusive thoughts (obsessions) and repetitive behaviors or mental acts (compulsions) aimed at reducing distress or preventing feared outcomes. These patterns can become time-consuming, emotionally exhausting, and interfere with daily life, relationships, and self-worth. People with OCD often recognize that their thoughts and behaviors don’t make logical sense, yet still feel powerless to stop them, which can lead to shame, anxiety, and isolation.

As a therapist specializing in OCD, I offer evidence-based treatment grounded in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), a gold-standard approach that helps clients gradually face their fears without engaging in compulsions. I also integrate mindfulness and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) techniques to support clients in tolerating uncertainty, building resilience, and reconnecting with their values. My goal is to help individuals regain a sense of control, reduce the power of OCD, and reclaim their time, relationships, and peace of mind.
